Beautiful Croatia is becoming an increasingly accessible destination for travelers. This summer, visitors can travel to the historic city of Rijeka by train thanks to the connection from Regiojet, which has been in operation since 2020. The connection includes the first train from Prague, which is scheduled for June 16, 2023. Regiojet then offers tourists the opportunity to explore the entire Croatian Riviera thanks to a number of bus connections.
By Train to Split with RegioJet
Unlike previous years, when Regiojet dispatched trains to Split, this destination is not on offer this year.
The Journey
The departure by Regiojet train is planned at 15:31 from Prague. The train will then stop in Kolín, Havlíčkův Brod, Žďár nad Sázavou, Brno, Břeclav and Bratislava, where passengers will also have the opportunity to board. To Rijeka
Trains will run three times a week from June 16 to September 30, 2023, 3 times a week. Connecting buses to other destinations will depart from Ogulin and Rijeka.
Until June 30, trains will run via Havlíčkův Brod, and from July 1, when the closure on the corridor is to end, trains will run via Pardubice.

What is the train journey like?
Passengers can choose whether they prefer the seating part of the train, or whether they choose a sleeping compartment where they can also comfortably sleep. The journey is direct and there is no need to worry about any complications. In addition, as part of the ticket, you will get breakfast, complete Regiojet service, internet connection and you can use other additional services such as the transport of bicycles.
How much do tickets cost and where to buy them?
Tickets are on sale at regiojet.cz/chorvatsko. Currently, Čedok also offers the sale of complete packages (transport, accommodation).
Tickets for seating carriages are from CZK 690, a bed from CZK 890 for one way. The lowest prices are only for a few dates, mainly in September.
Traveling with a bike
If you want to take your bike with you on vacation, it is possible. The transport fee for a bicycle in 2023 is CZK 300.
Transport of bicycles is not possible on connecting bus lines.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your ticket online for free 2 months before departure. Up to 30 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 25% of the ticket price. In the case of cancellation more than 14 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 50% of the price. Cancellation less than 14 days is not possible.
