From the Czech Republic to the Baltic Sea

You can get to the Baltic Sea from the Czech Republic by direct night trains from Bohumín. The services will run from the end of June to the end of August. You can take two pairs of trains to Gdynia, Hel, Leba and Kolobrzeg.

Where does the train to the Baltic Sea go?

There are two pairs of trains leaving from Bohumín – R 402/403 Wydmy, which will take you from Bohumín to Gdańsk, Gdynia, Hel, and Leba.

The other night train is the R 404/405 Pirate, which will take you to Kolobrzeg.

When does the train run and how long does it run?

The first train departs on 24 June 2022 and will run until the end of the summer holidays, i.e. until 31 August 2022. Running times are around 12 hours, see timetable below..

What train will I take to the Baltic Sea?

Both the Hel and Leba overnight trains are made up of seated and sleeper carriages. The seating carriages are ordinary compartment carriages without sockets and WiFi. The sleeper cars are planned with an outlet but without WiFi. An AB 349 car is also planned, which is half a 2nd class car and half a 1st class car. Again, this is a coupe. The restaurant car is not sorted.

The night train to Kolobrzeg from Bohumín is only sorted with coaches to the seating. Again it is a coupe and also a carriage with half first class and second class.

Timetables and prices to Hel, Leba and Kolobrzeg

The price of a one-way ticket starts from 600 CZK = approx. 24.5 EUR. The extra charge for a bed is 20 EUR. Tickets can be purchased as single or return. Children under 6 years travel free of charge (no single bed).

If you want to travel more comfortably and arrive at your destination rested, we recommend using a sleeper car. The extra charge for one bed in a three-seater compartment is 504 CZK – approximately 21 €.

Important warning before the trip! Before departure, check the timetable on the website of the carrier – České dráhy and PKP. Due to closures, departure times may change (especially in Poland), so check the times ideally the day before departure and on the day of departure. Please also expect that this situation may arise in advance.
