Very nice to see once you are in Prague, Ujezd - Petrin stop. Get the special metro line up to the hill, nice view up there. A nice ride, kind of diagonal metro line. You can use your Tram or Metro card for it. If you are up in the hill you can get down. Every few minutes there is a ride. From there, down, l you can go to many shopping streets or Andel mall.

As a local, I don't usually ride with this funicular, as it is often crowded with tourists. When it is empty though, it can be a nice and relaxing ride up the hill with great views along the way. Don't expect any wannabe historical tourist trap, it is purely for the quick and easy trip all the way up to Petřín. It is a part of the Prague public commute system, so you can expect some consistency in departures, although it is often out of service. Recommended, but walking up the hill by foot is preferable.

The lift took us to the top which is great, but the staff was awful. No passenger limits which is outrageous, basically we were all breathing into each other faces. We skipped the first ride due to high number of people and the staff made us go back to the waiting room. We simply asked what about the validated ticket and we heard “it’s not my problem”. Geez, really?

Pure socialism. Since COVID they decreased the capacity (by a lot) and even though there are people waiting outside (30+ minutes) they still stick to their easy schedule. So you board the car, wait for 7 minutes and only then it starts moving. Commercial funiculars add extra rides when they have enough passengers, but not this one.
