What’s the Train Experience Like?
The connection via Austria offers only sleeper carriages. Typically, the WLABmz826 sleeper carriage is used – an air-conditioned carriage with Economy and Deluxe compartments (the latter featuring a private shower and toilet). Corridors provide access to toilets and showers. If you opt for a DELUXE bed, you’ll have an en-suite toilet and shower. Refreshments and drinks can be purchased from the train attendant.
Beds come with a pillow and blanket. Compartments are designed for three (triple) but can be adjusted for two (double) or even a single traveler. All compartments are equipped with a sink with hot and cold water.
Each compartment features a power socket and WiFi connectivity throughout the journey. Unfortunately, the transport of bicycles or dogs is not permitted.


Ticket Prices and Purchase Points
Tickets can be acquired not only at Swiss Railways counters and their e-shop but also via the Czech Railways eShop. Ticket sales commence 180 days before the departure date, allowing ample time for trip planning. However, prices vary based on ticket availability for each price category, meaning earlier purchases increase the likelihood of securing a lower fare.

First minute Europe Tickets: These tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. They are person-specific.
Other Tickets: Can be returned by midnight the day before validity with a 10% deduction. On the day of departure, a 50% fee applies (minimum 3 EUR per seat/night).
